About Lala

My approach is grounded, relational, and collaborative. I aim to offer therapy that is both emotionally supportive and clinically thoughtful, with room for reflection, insight, and practical change.

About Lala

From Lala's Practice Introduction

If stress, worry, sadness, or anger have started to feel heavy, I offer a private space to slow down and work through what has been hard to carry alone.

I began clinical training in 2007 and earned my MSW from Columbia University. My clinical interests include postpartum depression, couples work, grief therapy, and hypnotherapy.

I was born and raised in China and later came to the United States for graduate school. I bring both professional training and lived cross-cultural experience to the therapy room, and I aim to provide care that is empathetic, culturally responsive, and genuinely collaborative.

You do not need to wait until things feel unbearable to seek support. Reaching out can be the first meaningful step toward change for you and the people you care about.

Approach

I bring a warm, attuned, and structured presence to therapy. Depending on your needs, I integrate CBT, culturally responsive therapy, family and marital perspectives, and hypnotherapy. Sessions can move at your pace while staying focused on work that is purposeful and practical.

Who I Help

I work with teens, adults, and older adults, including individuals, couples, and families. Many clients come in with anxiety, depression, relationship strain, grief, parenting stress, pregnancy or postpartum changes, and major life transitions.

Credentials

I am a Clinical Social Work/Therapist and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington (LW61152108). I have been in practice since 2007, earned my MSW from Columbia University, and completed additional training through Postpartum Support International.

A Personal Note

I want this space to feel steady, respectful, and human. You do not need to have perfect words before starting. My role is to help you make sense of your experience and move forward with more clarity, support, and self-trust.
