Individual Therapy

Adult Therapy

You may be managing daily responsibilities while feeling worried, depleted, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. Individual therapy for adults offers space to understand what you are experiencing and work toward changes that matter to you.

In-person in Redmond, WA, and online in Washington and Florida. Sessions are available in English and Mandarin.

Anxiety and Overthinking

Persistent worry, self-doubt, or feeling constantly on alert can leave little room to rest. We can explore the patterns behind your anxiety, practice ways to respond to stress, and work toward more flexibility in how you approach uncertainty.

Depression and Low Mood

Depression may feel like sadness, numbness, disconnection, or finding everyday tasks harder than they used to be. We can make room for your experience, explore what contributes to it, and identify manageable steps toward connection and daily support.

Stress and Burnout

Work, family responsibilities, and high expectations can leave you exhausted even when you try to rest. Together, we can examine the pressures you are carrying, explore boundaries and coping patterns, and consider changes that make daily life more sustainable.

Trauma Therapy: Beginning With Safety and Choice

Difficult experiences can continue to affect your emotions, bodily sensations, and relationships, even after the events themselves have passed. You may notice tension, feeling constantly on alert, avoiding certain situations, or finding it hard to feel safe with others.

In trauma therapy, I begin by working with you to build a sense of safety and understand how these experiences affect your life. We decide on the direction and pace together. When clinically appropriate and with your consent, I may integrate talk therapy, hypnotherapy, or Brainspotting to explore related emotions and bodily sensations.

Hypnotherapy in Trauma Work

Hypnotherapy uses focused attention, imagery, and therapeutic suggestions. In trauma work, I may use these tools to support grounding, explore responses to distress, and strengthen resources for coping with difficult feelings.

We discuss whether this approach fits your needs and readiness before beginning. You remain involved in the process and can ask questions, pause, or change direction.

Brainspotting: Beginning With Bodily Awareness

Sometimes you can describe what happened but still find it difficult to move through the tension, fear, or physical discomfort associated with it. When appropriate, I use Brainspotting as one approach within trauma therapy.

During this process, I guide you in finding a position where your gaze can rest while noticing emotions, bodily sensations, and thoughts as they arise. Alongside talking, Brainspotting offers space for experiences that may be difficult to put into words.

You do not need to force yourself to recall or describe every detail. We adjust the pace to your experience, and you can pause at any time. Together, we consider your needs, readiness, and treatment goals when deciding whether to use this approach.

You do not need to share every detail at the beginning. We can adjust the work whenever you need. Our aim is to reduce the impact of past experiences and support greater choice and connection in your present life.

Life Transitions and Identity

A change in career, a move, immigration, a shift in a relationship, or an unexpected loss can unsettle your sense of direction. Therapy provides space to process mixed emotions, reconnect with your values, and decide what you want to carry into the next chapter.

Relationships and Boundaries

In one-on-one sessions, you can explore recurring patterns in friendships, family, work, or intimate relationships. We can work on understanding your needs, communicating more clearly, setting boundaries, and deciding how you want to participate in your relationships.

Grief and Loss

Grief can follow a death, separation, or the loss of a familiar role or hoped-for future. There is no single way you need to feel. We can take time to acknowledge what has changed, make room for your emotions, and find ways to live alongside the loss.

Working Together

We begin with what feels most important to you. Together, we can develop goals that fit your circumstances and adjust the work as your needs become clearer. You do not need a diagnosis or a perfectly defined problem to start a conversation.

Taking the First Step

A free 15-minute consultation is an opportunity to discuss your questions, scheduling, and whether working together feels like a good fit.
