Couples Therapy

When communication feels difficult or the same disagreements keep returning, therapy offers space to understand what is happening between you. Together, we can explore your relationship and work toward clearer communication and connection.

My Approach: The Gottman Method

I use the Gottman Method in my work with couples. Grounded in relationship research, this approach begins with understanding your relationship's strengths and challenges and uses practical exercises to strengthen friendship, manage conflict, and build shared meaning. Together, we can explore recurring patterns, practice expressing needs and listening to one another, and find ways to repair after difficult moments. The aim is not to eliminate every disagreement, but to help you navigate differences with greater understanding and respect. I tailor the work to your goals, cultural background, and circumstances.

Understanding Your Patterns

We can explore recurring conflict, emotional distance, trust, and the ways each partner seeks support or responds to stress. The aim is to understand each person's experience without turning the conversation into a search for blame.

Making Room for Both Partners

Sessions provide time for each of you to speak and be heard. We can practice expressing needs, listening to one another, setting boundaries, and approaching difficult conversations with greater care.

A Collaborative Approach

We will discuss your shared and individual goals and consider your family, cultural background, and current circumstances. Couples sessions are 90 minutes. Please review Fees and Insurance for pricing, or contact me with questions about getting started.

Taking the First Step

A free 15-minute consultation is an opportunity to discuss your questions, scheduling, and whether working together feels like a good fit.
